Condition: excellent! An
opulent melange of materials and craftsmanship come together in this gold and
silver gilded dragon kagamibuta, contained in a meticulously polished smooth and
symmetrically rounded outer casing. The netsuke is attached
via a silver chain to a tobacco silk pouch, upon which a silvered dragon menuki
buckled its front, while the silk cloth embossed with multiple dragon motif. The
dragon theme in this sagemono indicated that it was designed for an aristocrat
or samurai class individual. In spite of its age, the sagemono is in excellent
condition.
