Complete
thirty-two pieces ivory chess set, beautifully hand carved
from quality Asian ivory tusk. One set in natural ivory
color, the other stained in Chinese red. Emperor and warrior
figures carved in costumes representing the empire of
Ming verses Qing. All chess piece are mounted on plinths
with double layered puzzle balls; in addition, the kings
and queens are endowsed with a third rotating layer within
their large puzzle balls.
All
larger chess piece are in very good condition. Six pawns
are in good conditions, others have minor losses. Chess
pieces range in size from 2.5", 3.5", 4.5" to
5.5"H. Medium size non-original silk lined carrying case
measures 16"x16" open. All four Kings and queens have
separate display cases.
