Condition:
inlays loss, o.a. very good, 22.3 OZ. Carved
in a full section of the tusk, in cream white ivory with a patina of age, marked
with striations and layering, polished to a glossy sheen with inlays of red and
turquoise beads. A fierce and dramatic Foo Dog, with collar and bell, one paw
on a ball. Intricately carved and stained mane of curling tufts, tufted eyebrows
and whiskers with mouth open and ears laid back in a convincing snarl and large
glaring eyes painted on seated on a draped double lotus base.
