Condition: crack and losses

An antique Edo period traveling shrine worn with use and age, retaining a veil of gold, with blue pigment for the hair, depicting Kannon in abhaya blessing gesture, seated in lotus posture before a backdrop of a carved floral mandorla, on a lotus throne set on an architectural base; eyes cast down to search for suffering sentient beings, to aid and comfort them.
