Antique stone carving, well preserved Lokapala, the stone surface mottled
and encrusted with mineral deposits. The carving is broad with exaggerated characterization
of the demon-repelling protector, seen in an aggressive display of physical strength.
He stands firmly, the tendons of his feet like roots reaching down into the earth,
the toes gripping the firmament. With a grimace of fierce effort he tenses his
entire body; the muscles of his torso, back and arms standing out like iron cords.
