A Chinese
smoky gray jade Kuan Yin anchors peace and tranquility. The bodhisattva’s gaze
communicates a lucid presence, her eyes downcast in contemplation,
with third eye point prominently accented, the hair and crown are rendered in fine detail, she
is holding a large scepter. There is a hint of jewels, and the figure is swathed
in sumptuous symmetric folds of cloth. An excellent depiction of the goddess.
There is a small blemish to her cheek, otherwise she is in very good condition.
