Thank You!!!
Cast in substantial bronze, this Guanyin Buddha sits poised in Padmasana atop a lunar pedestal half-circled with double rows of lotus petals, her countenance reflecting the benevolent grace of a youthful maiden with downcast eyes and hands joined in anjali mudra. Crowned by a leaf-shaped diadem of the Five Wisdom Buddhas atop a high chignon, the Bodhisattva of Compassion is draped in flowing robes that radiate with a sinuous, concentric symmetry characteristic of the Chinese sculptural traditions. The figure’s artistic integrity is matched by the evocative depth of its aged patina; the once shining bronze has mellowed into a rich, deep umber, punctuated by spontaneous blooms of verdigris oxidation that bridge the gap between earthly simplicity and sacred dignity. While a rectangular reserve on the reverse bears the mark "Great Ming Yongle Year Apparatus" (大明永楽年施), this inscription is regarded as a stylistic homage to the early 15th-century aesthetic rather than a definitive chronological marker.
