An
exuberant musician, his legs swinging as he beats a drum. The Han dynasty perfected
many techniques of ceramic firing and glaze chemistry, producing a prodigious
amount of ceramics. This low-fire pottery figure is evidence of the durability
of the terra cotta clay body. Once glazed, the natural red fired color now dominates,
with some of the original glazing still visible.
