Thank You!
Seated in a diamond position, this finely sculpted transcendent wisdom Buddha Manjushri is seated in lotus meditation, gazing downward with a serene smile. The youthful figure of Manjushri is painted in skin tone and adorned with gilded jewels in polychrome colors. He wears a five-pronged crown framing his gilt hair knot that represents Vajrasattva. In his extended right hand, he holds a double-edged sword, symbolizing the elimination of ignorance, as his left hand gently holds the stem of a lotus that winds above his shoulder, where the Book of Divine Wisdom (Prajnaparamita Sutra) rests in the lotus blossom. Two pink sashes flutter around him, with his youthful body sways slightly away from the center. This Manjushri Bodhisattva statue is a prototype in accordance with centuries-old Tibetan Buddhist traditions, and the polychrome elements are the style of Qing Buddhas. The statue is immaculately cast with time-accentuated charms.
