An
antique bronze Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, showing the narrow waisted figure
of the period, a bodhisattva in fine robes draped with celestial scarves, five
pointed jeweled crown, jeweled earrings and necklaces, seated in posture of royal
ease, with hands in mudras of wisdom and explication, the eyes gently cast down
and a smile of compassion gracing the face, seated on a double lotus throne. Worn
with age, surface patina.
